I obtained my elementary and high school diploma in Ontario, Canada. I continued at the University of Guelph and received an interdisciplinary Bachelor of Arts degree in International Development. My degree focuses on economics, political science and psychology.
Upon graduating, I developed a passion to help students achieve a quality education, in the field that interested them most. This passion was born from my own educational experiences, as well as due to being raised by a family of educators with a strong belief in helping each student reach their potential.
During my studies at University, as a result of my interest and aptitude in writing and editing, I was chosen as a Director on the Board for the Ontarion Newspaper. Outside of my studies, I volunteered for the Heart and Stroke Foundation, SARI Therapeutic Riding, and the Cancer Society. I was also chosen to travel to Peru to volunteer in schools and clinics. Upon graduating, I received the Leadership in Violence Prevention Award for promoting interpersonal tolerance, mediation and conflict resolution with schools and the community. In addition, I was recognised for exhibiting the characteristics of respect, responsibility, empathy, trust and citizenship. These are also the characteristics I always aim to display in my work with students.
Due to my knowledge of the Canadian education system and my experience and skills in writing and editing, I began working as a consultant and an Academic Counsellor for Canadian Universities. Throughout the years I have worked as an Academic Counsellor, I have edited Undergraduate, Graduate and PhD level writing and research, guided numerous students through the application process, created customised university target lists and prepared application documents and essays. I have successfully placed every student I have worked with at the university and program that best matched their goals.
I am looking forward to being part of the journey of future students as they begin a new chapter in Canada.
Upon completing my high school education at Izmir BAL, I graduated from Bosphorus University with a degree in Economics.
I then continued Economics in my post-graduate studies at Istanbul University.
After graduating, I started my professional career in banking, with a focus on corporate finance.
For the past 20 years, Cem and I have worked in the internationalization business as C&C, our personally owned consulting firm.
Since 2009, however, we have worked on expanding and developing the services we provide in our field of focus, Canadian Education. In order to grow our expertise, I have also been certified as an accredited Educational Agent.
After having received my education and built my work experience in Turkey, in 2013, my family and I decided to move to Canada. We now divide our time between Istanbul and Toronto. Having personally lived through the cultural differences of the two countries and having had the opportunity and ability to compare the educational systems, it is important to us to aim to be the first point of contact in Toronto for the families and students that come from Turkey.
Research, education, personal development, and ethical values have been important to me at every stage of my life.
As a member of the Academic Commission of the Turkish National Olympics Committee, I took an active role in the educational projects targeting populations from all economic and social backgrounds.
I also represented our country internationally on numerous occasions.
In this role, however, having the opportunity to spend time with students and contribute to their future is what I value most.
We have also worked with foreign companies, trying to locate partners or set up businesses in Turkey, as well as cooperating with foreign trade commissions such as the Spanish Commercial Office in Istanbul, Royal Netherlands Embassy in Ankara, and British Chamber of Commerce in Istanbul. As such we are familiar with the legal and bureaucratic background and the possible networks. Also, since 2009, we have been counselling students for their post secondary education in Canada.

I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Bosphorus University, in Istanbul, Turkey.
Starting in 1986, I began building my professional career, both as a business owner and as an executive. I worked as Project Manager, General Manager, Project Coordinator, and undertook responsibilities as a Board Member for marketing, consulting and production companies.
In 1995, my wife and I established a consulting company and started giving Business Advisory to foreign Governmental Institutions. Our company’s aim was to help the companies in their region to internationalize and enter new and foreign markets successfully. We have formed a network of consulting companies in 72 countries. Since then, we have become the sole representative of Spanish Basque Country, and represent other regions in Spain like Navarra, Aragon, Rioja, Andalucia, and Sabadell, and in Italy, Bologna, Lombardia, Parma and Veneto regions.
Since 2009, I have concentrated more on University/College Counseling for students coming from Turkey and Spain.
In 2013, I moved to Toronto and continue my consulting business from Canada.
To share some of my personal achievements, I may count crossing the Atlantic Ocean by a sail boat in 2014. I have also been volunteering for the Toronto Police Service Marine Unit since 2016.
I always pay attention to the importance of setting goals and achievement through dedicated work. And I show the same spirit while collaborating with our students.
